Announcement
Following my announcement before Christmas concerning the formation of a new division within Jeminex viz: Jeminex Logistics Services (JLS), I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Chalmers to the position of General Manager , JLS. Mark joins us having just completed a significant restructuring of the supply chain at HPM Legrand and in addition to HPM Legrand has occupied senior supply chain and operations positions at Caroma and Sebel in the GWA group. I would like wish Mark every success for his career at Jeminex. He will start on 1 March and will report directly to me.
The three key positions at JLS reporting to Mark will be
· Procurement, Purchasing and Inventory Management headed up by Monica Considine who is already fulfilling this role.
· East Coast Distribution Centres(DC) Manager – a search for this position is currently underway.
· West Coast Distribution Centres Manager to be headed up by Les Eaton who I am pleased has agreed to take on this important role. Les will continue to support Heatleys by assisting John Andretich in the operations of DC at Canningvale. Les will start in his new role on 1 February 2011.
JLS will effectively become operational on 1 March 2011. Whilst the overall brief of JLS will be to provide high quality supply chain services throughout the Jeminex Group, initially it will only take over responsibility for warehouses and distribution centres involved in the distribution of imported Industrial and Safety products . In particular this will include the DC and manufacturing facility at Wetherill Park, the DCs at Eastern Creek, Midland and Henderson and all Beaver branch DCs. All the people employed in those DCs will become employees of JLS on the same terms and conditions as before and will report through to one of the executives referred to above.
The formation of JLS is an exciting development for the Jeminex Group in its drive for improved customer service and a more efficient operating methodology.
Kind Regards
Kevin Clarke
Executive Chairman
